3D Printing Services

3D PRINTING SERVICES

3D printing for prototypes, tooling, custom parts, and repeat production.

West Sound Solutions uses additive manufacturing to support product development and production work where fast iteration, flexible geometry, and digital part control provide a practical advantage.

ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING

Use 3D printing where it improves development speed, flexibility, or production economics.

Every part should be reviewed around its actual use. Quantity, geometry, orientation, material requirements, tolerances, finish, strength, and inspection needs all influence whether additive manufacturing is the right process.

Functional Prototypes

Evaluate fit, interfaces, assembly, ergonomics, and real-world function before moving to an approved production revision.

Production Components

Produce repeat end-use parts when additive manufacturing fits the geometry, quantity, material, and performance requirement.

Jigs, Fixtures & Shop Aids

Create custom workholding, guides, organizers, templates, and other manufacturing aids around the job instead of generic hardware.

Replacement & Custom Parts

Develop practical replacements or purpose-built components from measurements, existing parts, drawings, or CAD data.

Design Iteration

Revise a model between builds to respond quickly to fit, function, manufacturability, or customer feedback.

Small-Batch Production

Manufacture repeat quantities without dedicated tooling when additive manufacturing is a good fit for the application.

FROM FILE TO PART

A quote should account for more than print time.

Before a part is scheduled, the model and requirements should be reviewed for manufacturability, material, orientation, quantity, support needs, finishing, and any characteristics that matter to the finished result.

01 · SUBMIT

Send the part

Provide STL, STEP, or other available project files along with quantity and use information.

02 · REVIEW

Check manufacturability

Review geometry, scale, orientation, wall features, support requirements, and project constraints.

03 · DEFINE

Confirm requirements

Identify material, quantity, finish expectations, critical dimensions, and any special handling needs.

04 · PRODUCE

Print the job

Schedule the approved job and manufacture against the reviewed file and production requirements.

05 · VERIFY

Inspect and release

Complete the agreed project-specific checks before packaging or handoff.

DESIGN CONSIDERATIONS

Good printed parts start with the right design assumptions.

GeometryThin features, overhangs, holes, unsupported areas, and part orientation can affect printability.
Tolerances & FitMating parts and critical dimensions should be identified instead of assuming every dimension has the same importance.
Strength DirectionPart orientation can change how loads interact with printed layers and should be considered for functional use.
Surface & FinishVisible surfaces, support contact, post-processing, and cosmetic expectations should be identified before production.
MaterialMaterial selection should reflect temperature, environment, flexibility, strength, and end-use requirements.
QuantityThe best setup for one prototype may not be the best setup for a repeat production batch.
WHAT TO SEND

Give us enough information to understand the finished part—not just the file.

  • STL, STEP, CAD, drawing, or other available model file
  • Quantity needed now and expected repeat quantity
  • What the part does and where it will be used
  • Known material or environmental requirements
  • Critical dimensions, mating features, or fit requirements
  • Finish, appearance, color, labeling, or packaging needs
  • Target date or schedule constraints
